How\why did you pick Crafted Edge Homes?

Suggestion and recommendation from a friend\colleague who knew the individuals associated with Crafted Edge Homes and their personal journey and experience within in this industry.

What was your experience like?

Same anxieties as buying a home! I was initially overwhelmed by the decisions to be made and the cost commitment.  I was living there during the renovations and found out quickly how challenging that was especially with pets in the home. Day by day to see everything coming together, it was worth it! Michelle thoroughly explained the process from start to finish, stayed in touch, which really put me at ease.

How was the design process?

Michelle really took hold of what I was looking for as far as the design, concept of open shelves and utilizing every square inch in the overall design.

When it came to picking colors, tiles and flooring, truthfully I don’t enjoy that task.  I completely put that task in the hands of Crafted Edge Homes and their selection of paint colors, tile, flooring, doors and so much more, their choices exceeded my expectations.

How was the process during the renovation?

Todd made sure from start to finish everything was done on time and if trades needed to return or retouch items, Todd was great with following up in a timely manner. Everyday a trade was at the house, I never experienced any down time or gaps with the renovations. When you are living through a renovation this is very important and so appreciated to see daily progress.

Favourite part of your renovation?

Hearing, “We’re Done”!

The finished product is outstanding! I love how it turned out, I love my living spaces, the support from Crafted Edge Home and their team, staying within my budget and pets were all accounted for at the finish!

Any Final comments or stories you’d like to share?

From start to finish and with very little experience on my part, I highly recommend Crafted Edge Homes for any renovations you may be thinking of. They understand the client’s anxieties; know the industry and trades very well. They have a great sense of design and they will keep you on budget.

We were renovating our basement. We were planning on moving a bathroom, adding another bathroom, and adding 2 bedrooms. We got 4 quotes from different companies. Crafted Edge was not the lowest estimate but theirs was the only quote that was broken down piece by piece. Each aspect from the flooring to the lighting to the plumbing and electric was it’s own entity and could be adjusted based on our choices. When we met with Todd and Michelle, they were very informative and had great suggestions for how to best make our visions a reality. We also were working with a very specific timeline. Our project needing to be started and completed in an 8 week window which they were completely committed to. We had the drawings done by Crafted Edge and we hit the ground running. Michelle joined me at the flooring place and was really helpful in tying together my choices and keeping our budget on track. At the same time I was struggling to find a bathroom vanity that worked. Michelle asked the interior designer and within an hour she had some suggestions with pictures, prices and availability for me!

The project started and right away I was so happy with the time that Mike and Kyle took to try and contain the dust and debris. We were living in the house during the reno. At the end of everyday we would go downstairs to see the progress. Everyday the space was immaculate. There was no piles of garbage, it was swept, all tools were lined up neatly and supplies were organized. I can say with confidence that I am every contractors worst nightmare... I struggle with strangers in my house, I ask a million questions, I second guess my decisions, and I am a control freak. I can’t say enough how comfortable I felt throughout the whole process. Each and every trade that came through was respectful, as quiet as they could be, and so clean and organized! At no point during any of my million questions did I feel as though I was bugging any of them - I always felt as though they answered honestly and never gave me any kind of run-around. I also never felt as though I was being talked down to for asking questions.
