INITIAL MEETING
During our initial meeting, we come to you, in the convenience of your home. This approach not only allows us to gauge the scope and spatial dynamics of the project but also provides you with the opportunity to openly discuss your preferences, including style, favored furniture pieces, art, colors, and more.
Meeting on-site fosters a deeper understanding of your vision and creates a foundation for a tailored and personalized design process.
HIGH LEVEL BUDGET
Following the initial meeting, we proceed to establish a high-level budget. Our objective is to thoroughly assess costs, ensuring that this aligns with your potential budget.
To conduct this review, we revisit your home, allowing for a discussion of the budgetary considerations while reviewing the current space. This approach ensures transparency and clarity in the financial aspects of the upcoming stages in the home renovation process.
INTERIOR DESIGN STAGE
Upon your approval of the high-level budget, we seamlessly transition into the Design phase!
This pivotal stage involves a deposit, prompting our collaboration with both the interior designer and the architectural technologist for a comprehensive site visit. During this visit, a thorough site measurement is conducted to initiate the blueprint process, laying the foundation for the subsequent design phase. We have everyone so don’t worry, but if you have a designer we are happy to collaborate with other designers too!
This collaborative effort allows our interior designer to commence their work, shaping the envisioned design based on the unique characteristics and dimensions of the space.
BUDGET REVIEW
Throughout the design process, we incorporate multiple budget touchpoints, particularly in response to any initial scope changes.
This proactive approach will give you peace of mind throughout the project.
We aim to maintain transparency and adaptability, ensuring that the project remains within the designated budget while accommodating any modifications.
TRADES DAY
Construction proceeds by coordinating a trades day, during which all mechanical and specialized trades, such as those handling wood beams, convene at the home.
This gathering is designed to comprehensively capture essential information before the commencement of the construction start date.
FINAL BUDGET REVIEW
Before proceeding, we will conduct a final review of the budget, examining the contract to ensure that both aspects align seamlessly. We want to provide you with all the details before diving into the project.
CONSTRUCTION STARTS
Construction proceeds by the site supervisors, homeowners (you), and us (Todd and Michelle) taking a walk through the space. We ensure that we discuss any small details at this point (for example any light fixtures to be kept, shelving that should stay etc..).
ELECTRICAL WALK THOUGH
A meeting brings together the designer, electrician, construction team, and clients to collectively examine electrical specifications and address any other pertinent details before proceeding to the insulation and drywall phase.
This ensures that all parties are aligned on the intricacies of the electrical layout and provides an opportunity to finalize any additional considerations.
FINISHING WALK THROUGH
The designer, construction team, and clients convene for a collaborative meeting aimed at reviewing and discussing finishing details.
This gathering serves as a pivotal moment to ensure that all parties are on the same page regarding the finer aspects of the project's completion.
Although this is how most of our projects are laid out, multiple budget reviews may be necessary, contingent upon any changes in the project scope. There is always a new obstacle to tackle, but we can handle it! We will be with you every step of the way to be as transparent as possible about any budget changes.
Additionally, we prioritize client communication by accommodating your preferences for updates. Whether you prefer construction updates via email, phone calls, text messages, or specific milestones such as once a week or when new trades commence, we are flexible and adaptable!
Our commitment lies in providing updates tailored to the client's chosen frequency and mode of communication, ensuring a personalized and transparent experience throughout the entirety of the project.
