TOP 5 HOME MUST HAVES 2023

As we move further into 2023, we wanted to review some of the major home trends we have seen and implemented in our home renovations!

There are so many functional and aesthetic trends coming through in 2023 and into 2024. As our world started to shift in 2020, there are many positive changes that we are taking with us into our homes and lifestyle.

Here are some of our favorite must-haves in your home:

FOCUS ON WELLNESS

When the pandemic hit, and the world changed, we were all at home focusing on our wellness, and how we could get that facial and hair done at home by ourselves (remember that?). Now that the world has opened up fully, and we can book our facials and dye our roots - the desire to have a space for wellness and beauty at home is here to stay.

We love that people are incorporating more of a home spa getaway - a sanctuary for relaxation and wellness.

A free-standing tub, double sinks, a steam shower, and more are ways to incorporate this into your home!

A WELL DESIGNED MUD-ROOM

The mud room is somewhere that has been overlooked for YEARS. Having a well-designed mudroom offers several practical benefits and can greatly enhance the functionality and cleanliness of a home.

It provides a designated area where family members and guests can remove their shoes, coats, and other outdoor gear, preventing dirt, mud, and debris from being tracked into the main living areas. The problem is: it can get very cluttered.

Adding custom cabinets, cubbies, and a bench can help improve the look, cleanliness, and functionality in this space. Have fun with this room - it’s one of the most used spaces in your home!

A HOME OFFICE

When the pandemic hit, a lot of us started working from home, and some never went back. Working from home became the norm, and offered the luxury of cutting down on your daily commute!

One huge home trend we are seeing is the need to elevate the current home office. Now that this may be a permanent shift for some professions, people want to work in a clean, organized, and designated space. There are so many ways to incorporate a functional and beautiful office in your home.

MORE NATURAL LIGHT

More natural light PLEASE. Being stuck in your home in 2020 brought a shift in realizing what our home potential is, and how we can improve our space, so we can ENJOY being there. One huge positive factor in your home is Natural Light.

Natural light provides numerous benefits to both our physical and mental well-being. Natural light has a positive impact on productivity and alertness, provides a Vitamin D boost, and just boosts your mood overall. One of the most important things you should incorporate into your home renovation: MORE NATURAL LIGHT.

MORE CURVES PLEASE

Last but not least, we wanted to incorporate something FUN into our top 5 MUST-HAVES. CURVES - EVERYWHERE.

From a curved island, curved archways, curved shelves, and curved furniture. The trend towards a more rounded feel is here, and won’t be leaving anytime soon!
