This home underwent a remarkable transformation, transitioning from dark and dreary wood to the light and airy elegance of oak cabinets and accents. The result is a bright and refreshing change that perfectly aligns with the family's desired aesthetic.

THE DETAILS

• The foyer sets an elegant tone with herringbone tile floors, complemented by existing paneling at the staircase that was refreshed with a coat of paint. Original newel posts adorned with new iron pickets grace the railing while sliding doors in the foyer maximize space efficiency.

• In the great room, existing built-ins received a makeover through a fresh coat of paint. The back hall was transformed, relocating the half bath to create a more spacious mudroom.

• The powder room showcases a custom sink with champagne bronze details and a wall-mounted faucet, accompanied by floor-to-ceiling tiles, ensuring practicality for a growing family.

• Moving into the kitchen, over-grouted stone backsplash, a farmhouse sink, beam details, and a custom plaster texture on the hood fan and island table contribute to a 15th-century villa aesthetic from the south of France.

• Oak hardwood floors grace the entire main floor, and a blend of oak and painted cabinets in the kitchen adds texture and color variety. Open shelving provides intricate detailing, while a solid surface countertop material extends behind the range, featuring added storage and a natural break to the painted wall around the hood fan.

• Full-height pantry cabinets and a banquette in the nook offer practicality and storage, while an entertainment pantry strategically placed between the dining room and great room facilitates ease during gatherings.

• The ensuite boasts a curbless shower with a zero-threshold design, allowing a seamless tile transition from the ensuite to the shower floor. Champagne bronze details, including shower handles, hinges, plumbing fixtures, and a floor-mounted tub filler, adorn the ensuite, along with a free-standing tub accompanied by a matching tub filler. The freestanding vanities add a touch of luxury to the overall design.
