This main floor renovation is a study in timeless elegance elevated through thoughtful restraint. Designed to feel substantial yet serene, Refined Grandeur balances classic architectural details with highly intentional modern updates—creating a home that quietly impresses at every turn.

At the heart of the project is the kitchen, where stained maple cabinetry is paired with painted finishes for warmth and contrast. Panel-ready appliances preserve a seamless, furniture-like aesthetic, while lower cabinet bases were intentionally removed, allowing contents to rest directly on the countertop—an elegant and practical solution for large appliances and everyday functionality. A newly added pantry enhances storage without disrupting the kitchen’s clean visual flow. Anchoring the space, a custom plaster hood fan introduces sculptural texture and artisanal character.

Architectural ceiling details were added throughout the kitchen, living room, and piano room, bringing cohesion and a heightened sense of craftsmanship to the main floor. Hardwood flooring flows continuously through the space, reinforcing warmth and continuity.

The primary ensuite continues the theme of refined luxury. Custom ceiling details and beams add depth and character, while the ensuite vanity features radiused ends and a furniture-style base that grounds the space with softness and intention. Travertine tile was selected for both the shower and floor, offering natural texture and timeless appeal. Extending beyond the ensuite, natural stone wall finishes flow into the hall and primary bedroom, creating a spa-like atmosphere rooted in material honesty.

In the powder room, wall-mounted faucets and a marble floating sink introduce a sculptural, gallery-like quality, proving that even compact spaces can make a lasting impression.

The laundry room was reimagined with new cabinetry, countertops, sink, faucet, and tile flooring—elevating a hardworking space into one that feels considered and cohesive with the rest of the home.

A bold yet classic statement greets guests in the foyer, where large tiles laid in a checkerboard pattern set the tone for the home’s blend of tradition and modern sophistication. Throughout the project, custom framed mirrors add a final layer of tailored detail.

Refined Grandeur is a testament to the power of thoughtful design—where material selection, proportion, and craftsmanship come together to create a home that feels elevated, enduring, and effortlessly refined.
